painting
I was always super into painting. In high school Art I, we did a project where we created a collage with acrylic paints. In Art II, we did a landscape with acrylics. I worked so hard on that painting! I brought up a card table from the basement, moved a chair and lamp to the table in front of my TV, and worked for hours. That was my sophomore year in high school...senior year in college (5 ish years later) I'm taking painting but this time...oil paint. I have never used oil paint. I had no clue what it really was, how to use it, is it similar to acrylic? My instructor informed us about some basic knowledge and we started our first project of black and white. After those first couple of days, I knew what I was doing. By our first critique over project 1 and 2, I had classmates tell me I have a talent for oil paint and shouldn't stop. Those comments gave me goosebumps.
