drawing

I have never been a huge fan of drawing. It's good for sketching ideas, but to make art drawing, I have a hard time doing. In my high school, we didn't have pastel chalk, let alone charcoal. We only had acrylic paints, pastel pencils, and graphite pencils. So with in mind, I did not feel comfortable in the class cause I had no where near the experience my fellow classmates had. I was mostly comfortable with graphite because that's all I knew. Charcoal was a challenge in my Fundamentals of Drawing class. When I got into Drawing 1, we use charcoal a bunch more than graphite. In fact, my instructor challenged us on a project to use a medium we are not comfortable with. After that project, I enjoy charcoal much more.
